Mid-State to host Veterans Showcase event

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Mid-State Technical College will host a “Veterans Showcase” for current students and those looking to get started at Mid-State.

The event takes place in the Wisconsin Rapids Campus LiNK on Nov. 17, 4-6 p.m. and is open to anyone who receives veteran benefits as a veteran or from a veteran.

Attendees at the Veterans Showcase will receive information about benefits available to veterans as well as learn about Mid-State’s education offerings, credit for prior learning and student services such as counseling and support for success at Mid-State.

They will also have the opportunity to do the following: tour the Wisconsin Rapids Campus; apply to Mid-State; meet with a veterans benefits coordinator to learn about veteran benefits; get an evaluation of military transcript to see if credits transfer; get help filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA.)
