Nekoosa powerlifters top national competition

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Two Nekoosa High School powerlifters topped competition in the 2019 USA Powerlifting High School National championships held March 28-31, in Alexandria, LA.

Kaden Downing competed in Junior Varsity, taking first place in his weight class, squatting 440 pounds, benching 270 pounds, and deadlifting 440, for a total of 1150.

Logan Cleary took first place in Varsity competition in his weight class, squatting 672 pounds, benching 424 pounds, and deadlifting 661 pounds, for a 1758. Logan set two national records for his age group for deadlift and total weight lifted.
