Northwoods league announces Home Run Derby participants

All-Stars Brody Wofford and Jack-Thomas Wold will represent Wisconsin Rapids

WISCONSIN RAPIDS –The Northwoods League has announced the participants for the 2018 All-Star Game Home Run Derby which will take place before the Northwoods League All-Star Game in Kalamazoo, Michigan on July 24.

The Rafters will be represented by Brody Wofford (University of Central Florida) and Jack-Thomas Wold (University of Nevada-Las Vegas). Wofford has seven home runs on the season currently fifth best in the Northwoods League. The junior collected three of themin one dayduring the doubleheader against the Kalamazoo Growlers on June 27. Wold has six homers so far for Wisconsin Rapids. The freshman hit three home runs in a three-day span from July 3-5. This included a 4-for-4, two home run, three RBI performance against the Green Bay Bullfrogs. In total, nine participants from both the South and North have been chosen for the event which will feature a nine-inning competition between the two divisions.
