WOOD COUNTY – A single car accident caused power outages in the area on July 18.
At 11:34 p.m., Wood County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a one vehicle crash on County Highway Z, near Ross Trail.
“Initial investigation indicated a vehicle was traveling northbound on County Highway Z and left the roadway striking a utility pole,” a department release said.
“The driver of the vehicle was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was transported to Aspirus Riverview Hospital in stable condition. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.”
The accident caused downed power lines and outages in the area, and closed County Highway Z for an extended period of time.
No other information was released.
