Common council meetings are usually encased in heated debate and important votes, but for 60 seconds, a coin flip delivered members a small break.
While taking votes for a council president, the eight members gave equal votes, and resulted in a 4-4 tie. The solution? According to city attorney Sue Schill; a coin-flip.
Over two dozen residents, including council members watched as the decision between councilmenTerry Dolan and James Stack for council president came down to a coin-flip.
The result? Heads -- crowning your new council president, James Stack.
