Police & Sheriff Calls for Aug. 15

Cucumber Ransom: At 6:26 a.m. a call was made from the 1400 block of 22nd Ave. South regarding a cucumber left on the caller's table, along with a note. It is unclear what the note said.

Everywhere a Sign: At 2:26 p.m. authorities were notified of a confused woman on 12th St. South and Pepper allegedly talking to signs.

Impromptu Swim: At 4:43 p.m. dispatch was informed of a man, fully clothed, swimming in the river. The man allegedly swam to an island closer to W. Grand Ave.

Ice Cream Man: At 9:33 p.m. a complaint was made from Mead Field regarding a man in ice cream truck who was not selling ice cream, but instead watching kids play baseball.

The Lurker: At 1:48 a.m. police were called in reference to a man in a flannel shirt lurking around homes in the area of 23rd Ave. South. He had been allegedly attempting to enter the building.
