Police & Sheriff Calls for Oct. 20-22

Stolen Bike: At 8:45 a.m. a report was made from the 200 block of Eighth St. South to report the theft of a bike.

Candy Scammers: At 1:54 p.m. a complaint was made from a business on the 4600 block of Eighth St. South to report individuals from Chicago selling candy outside. It was alleged that this was a known scam.

Car Burglars: At 8:41 p.m. a police were notified of two burglars on the 1000 block of 28th St. North that had been attempting to break into vehicles.

Oct. 21

Pumpkin Thief: A call was made at 3:37 p.m. to report the theft of pumpkins from the caller's porch on the 2000 block of Carey St.

Drunk Driving: At 7:51 p.m police were notified of a possible drunk driver who had been allegedly swerving in and out of lanes, and almost hit a median inn the area of Gaynor Ave.

Speed Racer: At 6:54 p.m. a complaint was made from the 100 block of 11th St. North regarding individuals consistently speeding in the area.

Oct. 22

Utility Problems: A call was made in the evening hours to report that the streetlights were out in the area of 17th Ave. South and W. Grand.

Unrequited Pizza: At 6:04 p.m. a complaint was made from a woman on the 400 block of 17th St. South regarding her ex-partner who had allegedly ordered pizza and had it sent to her.

Vulgar Texts: At 10:59 p.m. dispatch took a complaint from the 1400 block of 22nd Ave. South regarding a wrong number that had texted the caller's phone, and had been using profanity.
