Police & Sheriff Calls for Oct. 23

Scammers: At 11:37 p.m. a report was made regarding the continued spree of scam calls in the area, this time by multiple schools in the district.

Fowl Fatties: At 1:21 p.m. dispatch was notified of two "fat" chickens going through backyards on the 3000 block of First St. North.

Early Evening Drunk: A call was made in the early evening hours concerning a vehicle doing 60 mph and swerving all over the road in the area of State Highway 66 by Cera Park. Police would arrest the person for drunk driving.

Suffocation: A call was made late into the evening regarding a man who had allegedly attempted to suffocate himself with a garbage bag in the area of 10th St. South. Police checked on the man, and was deemed okay.
