The Assumption Royals baseball team ran into a buzz saw against Eau Claire Regis on Saturday as the Royals lost both games of a doubleheader.
The Royals dropped game one by the final score of 2-9 and the second 3-8.
In game one, the Royals stranded seven runners and were only able to come up with three hits. Assumption also committed five errors.
Jarrett Mancl, Jacob Sullivan and Ethan Peters each recorded one hit for the Royals.
In game two, the Royals got into a 0-3 hole after the first inning, fought back with three runs of their own in the top of the third, but were unable to keep the Ramblers bottled up for the remainder of the game.
Jacob Sullivan led the Royals’ offensive attack in the second game, going 2-3 with two RBI.
