ROCHESTER, MN – After a weekend sweep of the Rochester Vipers, Nov. 13-14, winning 12-1 and 8-2, the Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings climb the standings to first place in the Midwest-West Division in the USPHL.
The team now boasts an 11-2-1 record and continues a seven-game winning streak.
Riverkings players, Hogan Boyle, Joseph Blair, and newcomer, Jacob Jakusz, all scored their first junior goals this weekend; along with strong performances from veteran Riverking players, Cole Creger and Jordan Stear, both putting up multi-point games this weekend.
Reece McDonald scored on a penalty shot, dangling the goalie and stuffing it in the back of the net for the go-ahead goal and securing the win on Game No. 2 versus the Vipers.
All four Riverking goalies got a chance to play and all four made the most out of it, aiding in the ensured win for the team.
