Riverkings go 1-1 to start season

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings Junior A hockey team took a 2-5 loss Sept. 20 against the Chicago Cougars and picked up a win on Sept. 21, with a 6-2 victory, to open the 2019-20 season in Chicago.

Max Moore and Colton Flaminni each knocked their first of the season on night one.Luke Millius, Haralds Jirgens, Pat McCoy, Colton Flammini, Jordan Stear, and Jered Stevenson had goals on night two. Adrien Sel, McCoy, Cole Creger, Stevenson, Brayden Uttech, and Stear had assists.

Riverkings head to Rochester to face the Rochester Vipers, Sept. 27-28, in Minnesota.
