Riverkings sweep in Rochester, open at home Oct. 5

ROCHESTER – The Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings swept the Vipers Sept. 27-28 in a Rochester doubleheader.

Friday’s win was a 6-2 victory, while Saturday’s was a 6-0 shutout, with Giuliano Latella earning his first career shutout.

The Riverkings outshot the Vipers 94-38 on the weekend.

Luke Millius had three goals on the weekend and Colton Flaminni claimed two. Max Moore, Justin Trevino, Cole Creger, Jered Stevenson, Danny Klatt, and Patrick McCoy all notched one goal.

Brayden Uttech, Millius, Adrien Sel, McCoy, Max Moore, Markus Cook, Haralds Jirgens, Stevenson, Creger,andStear had assists.

Riverkings split Oct. 4-5, with an away game in the Wisconsin Dells and their first home game Saturday at , with a puck drop at 7 p.m. at the South Wood County Recreation Center.
