MARSHFIELD – Local veterans who go online to the state Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) will find a newly redesigned website.
The WDVA says the new look is aimed at providing veterans and their families with an improved digital experience to connect them with benefits and services.
"This redesign is more than just a visual update," said WDVA Secretary James Bond. “It reflects many months of collaboration with our partners, veteran advocates and Wisconsin veterans themselves. Their feedback was instrumental in creating a website that’s accessible to anyone seeking information about the benefits and services we offer veterans in our state.”
The new site features a streamlined design, simplified navigation, improved search function and mobile-friendly responsiveness, officials said in a news release. It also meets accessibility standards, including features like higher contrast for easier reading, enhanced keyboard navigation and compatibility with screen readers.
“We’re proud to support the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs in their digital efforts to provide current, accessible information to those who have served our country,” said Mark Roller, partner at Ascedia, the Wisconsin agency that collaborated with WDVA on the redesign. “Knowing that veterans and their contributions are being recognized and supported locally is incredibly rewarding."
With clearer organization and user-friendly tools, the redesigned site reflects WDVA’s ongoing commitment to serving Wisconsin’s veteran community with efficiency, transparency and accessibility, officials said.
The website is at: WisVets.com
