Stuff the School Bus serves 832

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Thanks to community donors and volunteers, Stuff the School Bus / Stuff the Desk was able to assist a total of 832 students in 2018.

On Aug. 2, community members donated school supplies to the Stuff the School Bus event during Lunch by the River. On Aug. 18, those school supplies were distributed to students who registered at Lincoln High School.

Of the students served, 95 percent qualified for free or reduced school meals and 40 were considered homeless.

A total of 155 volunteers assisted during collection, set up, pre-packing, and distribution.
