Three face drug charges, including trafficking, after a multitude of illegal substances were found in their possession.

Dylan Maki, 19, Austin Heil, 18, and Joshua Lake, 24, are charged with possession of methamphetamine, narcotics, drug paraphernalia, with Lake facing charges of maintaining a drug trafficking place, intention to sell drugs, and possession of cocaine.

According to police reports on July 5, an officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Heritage Dr. in Marshfield based on information that a person with a felony warrant was at that address. Officers observed a haze of smoke coming from the garage prior to making contact with those inside.

Police first made contact with Maki, who was believed to be under the influence of illegal substances after observing his eyes being half closed and his poor balance. Lake, who was identified as the tenant of the residence, eventually came to the door and consented to a search of the garage.

Officers found Heil inside of the garage during the search, as well as two gem baggies with a white powdery substance, a jar containing what was believed to be marijuana, a joint, and a glass pipe. Heil allegedly admitted that the substances found were his.

Lake gave officers permission to search the entire premises and during the search found multiple illegal substances throughout the residence. Officers located a package containing 6.8 grams of what officers believed to be heroin. Also found was 3.8 grams of what was believed to be methamphetamine, cocaine, drug paraphernalia, two green pills, as well as unused gem baggies, a scale, and a hand written ledger with names and drug quantities sold to them.

Officers also found several glass pipes with white residue in the bedroom of Maki.

Police spoke to Lake, who allegedly told them that he uses and sells methamphetamine to support his drug habit. He told officers that Maki is addicted to heroin and he was trying to help him by letting him stay at his residence.

If convicted, Lake faces up to a combined 22 years imprisonment and up to $50,000 in fines for possession of narcotics and amphetamines with intent to sell, as well as maintaining a drug trafficking place. He also faces additional charges for possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Maki faces up to seven years imprisonment and up to $10,000 in fines for two counts of possession, and Heil faces up to three years and six months imprisonment for one count of methamphetamine possession.

All three will face a jury on Oct. 27.
