Town of Rome honors annual Fire and Police Recognition Dinner winners

ROME -- The Rome Fire Department Fund held their annual Fire and Police Recognition Dinner on March 24, at the Lake Arrowhead Pines Clubhouse. The Annual Recognition Dinner celebrates the accomplishments of emergency responder personnel and is a thank you for their important service to the community.

The Town of Rome would like to congratulate the following award winners: Rookie of the Year – Hunter Ebbe; Bookworm Award – Heather Dalton; Hustle Award – Jim Cabaj; Officer of the Year – Tim Schultz; Bob Anderson Memorial Heart to Service Award – Steve Nowicki; Firefighter of the Year – Nick Westphaln.

In addition to the award winners, the Rome Fire Department also honored department retirees George Taub, Frank Smith, Mike Smith, Ron Fregien, John Frantz, Emil Kouba, Winn Powers and Tom Buff.
