Uptown is back by popular demand

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Arts Council of South Wood County is excited to bring back “Uptown: A Celebration of Motown and Soul” from a couple of seasons ago. They will perform on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at the Performing Arts Center of Wisconsin Rapids, 1801 16th St. S, at 7:30 p.m.
From humble beginnings in Harlem, NYC, Uptown spreads their unique perspective on Motown and soul to audiences all over the globe. Their signature style can be seen in their choreography, arrangement and contemporary attack of their content. It’s a high-energy family show that combines a new-school look and feel with old-school classics that we all know and love. Uptown is described as “the most electrifying show I’ve seen in a decade!”
A free master class is being held for students at 3 p.m. on Feb. 11. Call the Arts Council of South Wood County for details.
Tickets for the evening performance may be purchased by calling 715-424-2787 or stopping by 1040 8th St. S, Suite 101, Wisconsin Rapids, Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tickets are also available 24/7 at www.SavorTheArts.com.
