MADISON – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will hold a construction information meeting to discuss the project on WIS 54 on June 4, 5-6 p.m., in the Wisconsin Rapids City Hall Council Chambers, 444 West Grand Avenue, Wisconsin Rapids.
The project on WIS 54, from Gaynor Avenue to Riverview Expressway, will begin in June 11 and is expected to finish in August 2019. The project includes new roadway pavement; the adjustment of the water main, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer; and extension of the east sidewalk in the project limits. A new sign structure will be installed across Second Avenue.
Lane closures and intersection restrictions will take place as part of this project.
The meeting facility is wheelchair accessible.
