Wisconsin Rapids area hosts Science by the River

Visitors can start their trek at either Ben Hansen Park or Veterans' Memorial Park in Wisconsin Rapids. Educational booths and hands-on demonstration stations can be found along the Wisconsin River from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The approximate trail distance is two miles one way. Travel by car and park near each station, ride a bike (free rentals available through Wood County River Riders Bike Share Program), or walk along the scenic river route.

River Riders Bike share program bikes will be available free of charge during the event. To rent a bike, open or download the Koloni app from your smartphone’s app store and log in or create an account. Scan the QR code on the back of the bike and apply the promo code “BEESLY” to receive a free ride. There will be directions posted at the station for more information.

Following the interpretive stations, visitors can rest their legs, grab a refreshment, and join in for two engaging and informative Tap Talks at B’s Tap House in Wisconsin Rapids. Talks will be at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
