Wisconsin Rapids Kickers participate in USA Cup

WISONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Kickers had two teams participate in the USA Cup July 9-11 in Blaine, MN. The U14 Boys State Team and the U16 Boys Premier State Team played in the three-decades-old tournament, with 1,150 teams and 16,000 youth soccer players from over 20 countries and 20 states participating.

Both teams started game play on July 9 and completed their tournament appearances on July 11.

The U14 team made it to the semifinals and battled some very competitive matches. The U14 team is coached by Fidel Perez and Peter Kolar

The U16 team placed second, losing the championship game to the No. 1 ranked team in North Dakota. The U16 team is coached by Aaron Dunn, John Byom, and Bob Budjac.
