Wisconsin Rapids Kiwanis Club announces Meat Raffle Fundraiser

Posted

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Kiwanis Club will host its monthly Meat Raffle Fundraiser on the second Saturday of each month beginning Oct. 10 through Feb. 13. The open bar will begin at 1 p.m., with the meat raffle running from 2–4 p.m. at the Kiwanis Lodge, located at 3221 80th St. S. in Wisconsin Rapids.
New this year is a progressive grand prize meat package, adding even more excitement to an afternoon featuring prizes such as steaks, roasts, chops, ground meat and fillets.
But the reason behind the raffle is bigger than the prizes.
Proceeds raised by the Wisconsin Rapids Kiwanis Club help fund programs and grants that support children and families throughout South Wood County. The club’s service activities include Coats for Kids, Youth Outdoors Day, a free Easter Egg Hunt, Student of the Month recognition and Kiwanis scholarships, along with grants that support other community projects.
“Fundraising allows us to turn a fun afternoon into something that makes a difference for local kids,” said Josh Schoenick, club president. “When people participate in our meat raffle, they’re not just taking home some great meat — they’re helping us give back to the community.”
The Wisconsin Rapids Kiwanis Club invites area residents to join them for the Meat Raffle and help support children throughout South Wood County.
