Fraud
On Sept. 10 at 12:17 p.m. a Wisconsin Rapids female reported that a Wisconsin Rapids finance group had taken her signature and put it on payments without her permission. The complainant stated that they had done this because she fell behind on her payments.
September 11, 2019
Broken no contact bond
On Sept. 11 at 5:18 a.m. a Wisconsin Rapids male reported that a 32-year-old female was repeatedly showing up at his South 20th Avenue residence to bang on his door while screaming to be let in. The complainant stated that he believed she had gone into the garage and that she was supposed to have no contact with him or his residence as per her bond conditions.
Sparking wires
On Sept. 11 at 9:46 a.m. a man reported that there were wires entangled with branches near North 26th and Washington Street in Wisconsin Rapids. The complainant stated that the branches and wires were sparking and that near Washington he had heard what sounded like an explosion.
September 15, 2019
Mini-arsonists
On Sept. 15 at 5:35 p.m. a Wisconsin Rapids resident reported that three children -- male and two females -- had stated they were going to go into the woods to start a fire. One of the children was described as wearing orange and another as wearing a yellow shirt and gray pants.
September 16, 2019
Double break-in
On Sept. 16 at 9:06 a.m. a Wisconsin Rapids female reported that a 25-year-old male had broken into her home that morning around 4:30 a.m. The complainant stated that she had convinced him to leave but that after returning home from dropping her children off at school, he had broken in again. The woman stated that the subject had broken a window to get in and had left in a blue van. The man was wearing a gray shirt and jeans.
Break-in and theft
On Sept. 16 at 7:01 p.m. a Wisconsin Rapids male reported that his North 13th Street residence had been broken into. The victim stated that some of his daughter’s toys had been taken as well as clothes, $250, and the title to his vehicle. The male stated that whoever had committed the crime was no longer in the house.
