Mom reports being followed

At 2:27 p.m., a Wisconsin Rapids woman called the police department and reported that a man had been following her and her children while they were on a walk. She circled the blocks a few times and the man eventually left the area. She requested extra patrol in her area.

Sometimes you’re the bug…

At 6:39 p.m., a 34-year-old woman called to report that her garage and car had been broken into sometime the night prior. She had not gone into the garage to see if anything had been taken at the time of the call. After police arrived and investigated, the caller stated that the only items missing were windshield wipers.

Facebook Drama

At 10:57 p.m., a 54-year-old Wisconsin Rapids woman reported that she was threatened by a man on Facebook. Police investigated and stated the New York man did not threaten her but advised the woman to block him. Police also left a message for the man to cease contact with the woman.

Thirsty woman drives off

At 11:13 p.m., an employee of a gas station in Wisconsin Rapids called to report that a woman cracked open a beer in the store before getting in her pick-up truck and driving off. The man reported that she appeared to be intoxicated.

Suspicious vehicle reported

At 9:43 a.m., a caller requested an officer to check on a truck that was parked near their residence. The caller stated there were four men standing around the truck. Police arrived and found a landscaping crew waiting for a load of gravel.

Phone Harassment

At 8:51 p.m., a 62-year-old Wisconsin Rapids woman called to report that a 64-year-old male was harassing her with phone calls and emails. Police were able to make contact with the man and explained to him that the woman does not want any further contact from him.
