A 25-year-old Wisconsin Rapids woman already on bond for driving without a valid license is facing new charges after a Town of Linwood crash that left her with head injuries and no apparent memory of the accident, which occurred on July 4.

Portage County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Hwy 66 and Stony Rd. in the Town of Linwood for a report of a car accident. Deputies found a vehicle, which had ran into a tree but no driver or passengers.

Witnesses at the scene told deputies that a woman had gotten out of the car and another car had picked her up. They noted the direction it was traveling and a deputy was able to follow the car, which was headed to a local hospital.

Nicole Golomski was identified at the hospital and was treated for minor head injuries.

Golomski, was arrested and transported to the Portage County Jail on suspicion driving without a valid license and failure to report an accident.

She appeared via video before Judge Thomas Eagon. In a statement to the court, Golomski claimed no memory of the incident and also said that she was under the influence of several prescription drugs at the time, including Seroquel and Diazapam.

Golomski was freed on $1000 signature bond and ordered not to drive without a valid license or under the influence of any drugs, prescription or otherwise. She is due back in court on July 13 for an initial appearance.
