Wood County Sheriff’s Office investigates Port Edwards death

WOOD COUNTY – On Oct. 9 at 6 a.m., Wood County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of a 60-year-old man who was “pulseless and not breathing” on the 4200 block of Lynn Hill Road in the town of Port Edwards.

“County deputies, along with first responders from Nekoosa Fire Department, and a Wisconsin Rapids ambulance responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they found the a deceased male in a bedroom with head trauma,” a Wood County Sheriff’s release stated.

“Wood County Sheriff's Department is conducting an ongoing death investigation with the Wisconsin Crime Laboratory, State Patrol, and Department of Criminal Investigation.”
