WISCONSIN RAPIDS -- A car trunk filled with candy can make a pretty good Halloween basket.
The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department will hold "Trunk or Treat", which will be held this year on Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM. Participants will bring their vehicles, decorate them, and then hand out candy for children who come to visit.
The event will be held at the Rapids Mall parking lot, 555 W. Grand Ave. This free event is open to everyone and businesses, individuals and organizations are encouraged to participate.
"Our event is aimed at providing families a safe place to trick or treat while engaging with the community. Some of our officers will be in attendance dressed up as popular Super Heroes." said Officer Eric Daven.
Also featured will be hot dogs and kid's activities.
