Posted

WOOD COUNTY – The Alexander House will celebrate Youth Art Month with an exhibition showcasing the creative talents of students from the Nekoosa Public School District, grades K-12. The exhibit will run from Feb. 23 through March 25, 2025, at The Alexander House, 1131 Wisconsin River Drive, Port Edwards.
An opening reception will be held on Sunday, Feb. 23, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., offering visitors an opportunity to view student artwork and meet the teachers who inspired the students: Missy Rokser, Amanda Wright, and Hannah Heimer.
Youth Art Month is a national celebration sponsored by the National Art Education Association and recognized in Wisconsin by the Wisconsin Art Education Association. It promotes the importance of art education in schools and highlights the creativity of K-12 students across the country. Each year, The Alexander House proudly supports this initiative by hosting a dedicated student exhibition.
The Alexander House is open to the public on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Special openings and group tours can be arranged by calling 715-887-3442.
