September 11

Woman looking for a fight

At 11:01 p.m., a 19-year-old woman called police to report that after she had kicked another female out of her home, the woman came back with a crowbar looking to fight. The woman left, but then came back with another woman. Police arrived and arrested two of the women.

September 12

Trouble in the drive-thru

At 7:53 a.m., 51-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man reported that while in line at a fast food restaurant a male in another vehicle also in line started shouting obscenities at him and then got out of his vehicle, still yelling, and kicked the other man’s car stating he had cut him off in line and that he should be in front of him. Police are attempting to contact the abusive man.

September 14

Stolen rental equipment

An employee at a rental store in Wisconsin Rapids called to report that a 59-year-old man had rented several big items and failed to return them. If not returned by the end of the day, they would be listed as stolen. Police were unable to find missing equipment and it was marked as stolen.

Man in black

At 12:42 p.m., a caller reported a man dressed in all black was walking down the middle of the road yelling at vehicles. Police were able to make contact with the 27-year-old man and sent him on his way back to the hotel he was staying at.

September 15

Microwave fire at motel

At 11:28 p.m., a motel employee called police to report that a 25-year-old man had started the microwave on fire in his room. The man appeared to be drunk. Another person staying at the hotel stated the man had left and was then driving around the area in an SUV.

September 16

Admitted crime, now he’s doing time

At 7:32 p.m., a 20-year-old man admitted to knocking lights over at the police department. The man was arrested and taken to jail for charges of criminal damage to property.

September 17

Where’s my wife?

At 11:33 p.m., a 55-year-old man contacted police because he hadn’t heard from his wife in a few days, and she wasn’t answering his calls or messages. Police tried to make contact with the missing wife who called to report that she and her husband are going through a divorce, and he is not supposed to be contacting her.
