This holiday weekend will be sweet — literally, as Wisconsin Rapids residents are welcome to enjoy homemade ice cream.

King Cone Homemade Ice Cream will be opening it’s doors today at their new location at 1600 Baker St. The renown ice cream shoppe will have hours set from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday.

King Cone originally started 31 years ago in the Amherst IGA, and moved into it’s own location in 1989. Since then, they have expanded to Plover, opening a location in 2011, and now Wisconsin Rapids.

This homemade ice cream treat offers nearly 50 flavors of their own creation for all ages to enjoy. For more information, please visit kingconehomemadeicecream.com.
