Local volunteer opportunities available

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – United Way of Inner Wisconsin’s Volunteer Center promotes the volunteer needs of local non-profit organizations in both south Wood and Adams Counties.

Here are some available opportunities:

McMillan Library: Volunteers are needed to help with music and instrument activities on July 10 from 12:30- 3 p.m.; to help at the Splash Pad with “Study of ROCK!” activities on July 9 from 12:15- 3 p.m.; to help with rock painting craft on June 19 from 12:30- 3 p.m.; to help at the Splash Pad with “Science of Sound” activities on June 18 from 12:15-3 p.m.; and to help with program registration, games activities, and snacks for Summer Kick-off Party on June 11 from 10:30-1:30 p.m.

South Wood County YMCA: Volunteers are needed to do a variety of cleaning, such as:  washing, drying, and folding towels; cleaning exercise equipment in the wellness center; and janitorial duties.

Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre:  We are looking for someone to clean the following areas every two weeks:  bathroom, offices, studio, and make-up/dressing rooms. All cleaning supplies are provided.  Duties include: dusting, vacuuming, cleaning windows/mirrors, sweep and mop floors, clean toilet, sinks and fixtures, and refill hand towel dispensers.
