MCHS and MACY to host drug take-back at FTD

MARSHFIELD — On July 10-12, Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS), in collaboration with Marshfield Area Coalition for Youth (MACY) and the Marshfield Police Department, will host a three-day prescription drug take-back event at Farm Technology Days.
The prescription drug take-back event will be located in the Marshfield Clinic Health System Innovation Square across from Weber Farm Store.
The drug take-back includes: Prescription – controlled and non-controlled – and over-the-counter medications, creams, liquids in the original packaging, nonaerosol sprays, inhalers, ointments, patches, pet medications, vials, and needles and sharps.
The take-back does not include: Aerosol cans, bio-hazardous materials – anything containing a bodily fluid or blood, household hazardous waste – such as paint, pesticides, oil, or gas, illegal drugs, mercury thermometers, oxygen tanks or nebulizers, personal care products – such as shampoo, soaps, lotions, sunscreens, or radioactive cancer medications.
MACY is also teaming up with Marshfield Clinic Health System Trauma Services to provide the following activities: alcohol and marijuana impaired goggles maze activity, distracted driving simulator, information about alcohol and other drugs, and prizes. Events are schedule each day of FTD, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
