NAMI Portage-Wood Counties announces NAMI Homefront

STEVENS POINT – NAMI Portage-Wood Counties has announced NAMI Homefront, for family, friends, and significant others of military service members and veterans of all ages and eras, who live with depression, anxiety, PTSD, or other behavioral/emotional challenges
NAMI Homefront helps families understand what the service member/ veteran is experiencing related to trauma, combat stress, civilian life transition, PTSD, and other mental health conditions. The class focuses on the unique needs of military and veteran communities, in addition to providing general information about mental health, communication and problem solving, and navigating the systems. The program is designed to help family members understand and support their service member/veteran, while maintaining their own well-being.
The program is held Wednesdays, Sept. 19 – Oct. 24, 6-8:30 p.m. at Faith Reformed Church, 1321 32nd St. N, Wisconsin Rapids.
