For the Rapids City Times

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Are you an entrepreneur interested in starting or expanding a business? Are you from a financial institution and interested in learning more about community development financial institutions (CDFIs)? Are you interested in economic development in the south Wood County area? If your answer is yes, plan to attend the Entrepreneurial Development Series Oct. 24-25 in Wisconsin Rapids.

Participants will learn about training, support, and resources available in the region to support both aspiring entrepreneurs and established small businesses. Experts will provide information about business education and finance options available to entrepreneurs/small businesses.

The Oct. 24 session takes place at Mid-State Technical College from 5-7:30 p.m. and includes a small business and resource panel and a networking hour. The Oct. 25 session takes place at Hotel Mead from 8-11:30 a.m. and includes presentations about CDFIs and what is trending in Wisconsin small businesses. There is no charge for this event; it is open to the public.

Incourage is partnering with the Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC), Invest in Wisconsin, Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce, Mid-State Technical College, and Small Business Development Center to bring this free, two-day program to the south Wood County area.
