SENECA – On Sept. 22, Wood County deputies were called to the scene of an ATV crash on Swiggum Lane in the town of Seneca.
When deputies arrived, they located the operator of the ATV, a 27-year-old male, who had been ejected from the vehicle.
Life-savings measures were performed on the man, and he was transported by air to the Marshfield Medical Center.
The initial investigation indicated that the crash victim was attempting to negotiate a curve, lost control, and was ejected. Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by Nekoosa Police Department, United Ambulance Service, Port Edwards Fire Department, and the Department of Natural Resources.
