WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Clinical Services is under new ownership, as Julie Sigler Edmundson takes over proprietorship of the business.

“Clinical Services was the first private practice, state certified mental health clinic in Wisconsin Rapids… and was established in 1988 by Dr. Michael Jan Nelson,” said Sigler Edmundson. “The office was located in the historic Sampson home overlooking the scenic Wisconsin River.”

Sigler Edmundson received ownership of Clinical Services in September, as Dr. Mike Nelson began reducing his practice. Nelson joined Sigler Edmundson at her 420 Third Street South, Wisconsin Rapids location, where the business is now located.

“(It) is also a historical site which is a stylized art deco, mid century modern building that has served many professional businesses including dentistry, architecture and an attorney’s office,” Sigler Edmundson explained.

Nelson is a clinical psychologist and Sigler Edmundson is a psychotherapist, licensed in mental health and substance use disorders.

The clinic offers outpatient mental health and substance use disorders counseling, specializing in depression, anxiety, dual disorders, trauma, parent/child conflict, and couples counseling.
