STEVENS POINT – Wisconsin native Philip Flory, a walk-on at Seton Hall, has transferred to UWSP to play his final two years with the Pointers.
Flory grew up in Wisconsin Rapids and later transferred to Oshkosh North. In his senior season at ONHS, his team fell in the sectional championship game to eventual state champion SPASH.
He received an offer from Marquette, but chose to attend Seton Hall where he walked on. With the Pirates, he played in 23 games with two made field goals – both three-pointers – and six rebounds in 57 minutes in 2017-18.
In 2018-19, he was limited to six games at Albany with the Great Danes. In 45 minutes of action, he had five rebounds, four assists, and made a three-pointer.
Flory’s father, Mike played for Marquette his final three years (1986-89) after one season at Colorado.
