NEW: Riverview Discontinuing Rapid Care Services
For the City Times
Effective April 30, the Rapid Care services at Riverview Hospital will be discontinued.
After April 30, patients with minor illnesses or injuries are advised to call their personal health care provider or seek care at Aspirus Doctors Clinic Walk-In Care.
Aspirus Doctors Clinic Walk-In Care is located at 2031 Peach Street in Wisconsin Rapids. It is open seven days a week: Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.; weekends and holidays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Riverview’s recent affiliation with Aspirus makes it possible and most cost-effective to patients to combine the community’s two facilities for walk-in care in one location.
The most common illnesses and injuries treated at Aspirus Doctors Clinic Walk-In Care include: colds, cough, flu, cuts, scrapes, bruises, minor injuries, earaches, fever, insect bites, pink eye, skin rashes, sore throat, sprains, stomachache, urinary burning, and other minor, non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
For treatment of serious illnesses and injuries that require immediate medical attention, patients are advised to call 911 or go directly to the emergency department at Riverview Hospital.
