Teens Charged with Child Sexual Assault, Exploitation after Videotaping Crime

Three Marshfield teens face felony charges after being accused of videotaping their sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.
Anthony C. Christmas, 18, Kyle M. J. Howlett, 17, and Ryan T. Rodeghier, 17, all face Class C felony charges. Christmas for child sexual exploitation and Howlett and Rodeghier for 2nd degree sexual assault of a child which could lead to a maximum sentence of 40 years imprisonment or a $100,000 fine or both.
Howlett and Rodeghier have appeared in court. A warrant for the arrest of Christmas was issued on Tuesday.
According to court documents, a 14-year-old girl was in the basement of a home with the three defendants some time between Dec. 24 and Jan. 2. Howlett reportedly took the girl into a room and forced her to have oral sexual contact with him.
Howlett then took the girl to another room of the home and again forced her to have oral sexual contact with him while Rodeghier had sexual intercourse with her. During the alleged assault, Christmas entered the room and videotaped the incident with cell phones.
Rodeghier and Howlett were both released on a $10,000 signature bond and are to have no contact with the victim or her residence.
Howlett and Rodeghier made their initial appearance in Branch 3 of Wood County Circuit Court on Aug. 17 at 9 a.m. They return on September 11 at 11:30 AM for a preliminary hearing and arraignment.
Christmas is scheduled to make his initial appearance on September 14 at 9:00 AM
