To the Editor-

The Wisconsin Rapids Aqua Skiers have gained a lot of momentum the past couple of years.  Former members have returned with their families and bringing new friends with them.  We are strong once again and we couldn’t have done it without the help of our community.

You were there supporting us during our lean times, at our shows, at the 4th of July Street Dance and don’t forget the tournament in July and we appreciate you for that.

In 2016, the 3rd weekend of July, we will host the 50th Annual Wisconsin State Water Ski Show Championships.  This is the largest and longest standing tournament of its kind in the world.  Be proud as this shows what a small town can do when everyone works together to make it happen.

Also in 2016 we have been chosen to host the 3rd bi-annual World Water Ski Show Tournament.  Past tournaments have seen teams from Australia, Belgium, Canada, China and the USA.  We are very excited to bring this international event to the shores of South Wood County Park Red Sands Beach on Sept 9-11.  It will be a pleasure to work with our community to welcome these teams and give them a sample of small town Wisconsin hospitality.

From the bottom of our skis to the top of our pyramids we say thank you to our community for your support and look forward to seeing you in 2016.
