Police & Sheriff Calls for Feb. 12

A Train of Inconvenience: At 8:07 a.m. a call was made from the 1500 block of 1st St. North regarding the nearby railroad tracks. The arms were down to block traffic to indicate a train passing, however there was no train in sight. Canadian National Railway was called to the scene and the incident has been closed.

A Strapping Problem: At 2:02 p.m. a call was placed from the area by 21st Ave. South and Gaynor Ave regarding a truck hauling a vehicle that was not strapped down properly on a flatbed. The vehicle was reported to have been hanging half off the flatbed. The vehicle was stopped and it flatbed was re-secured. The incident has been closed.

Right of Way: At 12:18 p.m. a call was made at the scene of an accident on the 500 block of 10th Ave. North. It was reported that somebody hit a pedestrian with their car. Luckily, the subject was conscious and breathing, and the incident has been closed.

Pavement Pest: A call was made from the 1400 block of 29th Ave. South regarding a woman dressed in dark clothes, laying in the middle of the road.  She was reported to also have been making “noises”. The woman was uncooperative and an ambulance was sent to the scene. The incident has been closed.
