All ladies are invited to learn more about the most common thyroid issues at the Aspirus Riverview Spirit of Women girls’ night out, “Check Your Neck.”

Thyroid disorders can range from a small, harmless goiter to life-threatening cancer. Most thyroid problems can be managed if properly diagnosed and treated. “Check Your Neck” will be held Wednesday, Mar. 16, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Aspirus Riverview Hospital, 410 Dewey Street, Wisconsin Rapids.

Aspirus Physician Assistants Caitlin Parmeter and Lindsay Reimer will discuss the most common thyroid conditions, the symptoms, and the treatment options.  Ladies will also enjoy thyroid-friendly refreshments and take home recipes and a Spirit of Women gift.

Attendance is free, but advance registration is required. Registration for this event will open at 8 a.m. on Feb. 29. To register, visit aspirus.org/spirit. Women who do not have internet access may register by calling 1-800-847-4707. (Attendees must register individually.)
