According to a press release issued last night, on Jun. 8 at approximately 12:00 p.m., a search warrant was issued for a residence in the city of Nekoosa on suspicion of drug related activity.

Inside, police found nine marijuana plants, 31 grams of marijuana, 275 grams of marijuana butter, smoking devices and growing equipment.

Two men, ages 30 and 34, were arrested for possession of THC, two counts of manufacturing THC, and possession of drug paraphernalia. There names have not been released. Port Edwards police department assisted with the search warrant.

Also in assistance were Wood County Human Services for needs concerning a juvenile, as well as Nekoosa fire department and Alliant Energy over issues of ordinance violations and fire safety concerns.
