ROME — The Town of Rome recently gained national attention from none other than the New York Times.

An article regarding the expanding Sand Valley Golf Resort was featured on their website, giving praise to the resort “nestled near the tiny towns of Rome and Nekoosa”. While journalist Tom Redburn referred to the region as “dirt-poor”, he later wrote that despite the unique location of the five-star resort, that he was “thrilled” with the landscape of the course.

Sand Valley has been dubbed the top golfing destination in 2017 by Golf Advisor, and word is clearly spreading throughout the country.

You can grab a copy of the article in print in the May 7 edition of the New York Times on Page TR7 titled “Dairy Farms, Cheese Curds, and Now World-Class Golf”.
