Soundcheck: Over a Dozen Bands Play Rapids This Weekend

One of the biggest weekends for music of the year — over a dozen bands will hit the area. Here is a rundown of who’s playing what and where.

Friday, June 16

Antonettes + Goats in Trees — 6:00 p.m.
-These two acts will be taking part in the ‘Beer & Cheese: A Downtown Block Party’ on Friday night. For more information on the event, held in downtown Wisconsin Rapids on 2nd St. North, please click here.

Rumours — 7:00 p.m.
-Local favorites ‘Rumours’ will be paying the Hotel Mead Friday night. The Hotel Mead is located at 451 E. Grand Ave.

Hydration — 10:00 p.m.
-Slow down your night and chill out with a little bit of reggae in your life with ‘Hydration’. They play Hollyrocks Friday night, located at 114 2nd St. North.

Saturday, June 17

Friends of Rapids Music (FRM) Music Fest – 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
-An all day music affair with nine bands slated to play Robinson Park. For more information on the festival, click here.

The Cherries — 6:00 p.m.
-The Cherries hit Anchor Bay on Saturday night. Anchor Bay Bar & Grill is located at 3460 N. Biron Dr.

Sunday, June 18

The Kommissioners — 4:00 p.m.
-Fresh off of their performance at Rapids Music Fest, The Kommisssioners will head over to Anchor Bay to play their featured Sunday show. Anchor Bay Bar & Grill is located at 3460 N Biron Dr.
