PORT EDWARDS — The Port Edwards Education Foundation (PEEF) Board of Directors have initiated their 21st annual campaign for financial support of student enrichment projects for the School District of Port Edwards.

At the October board meeting, board President Ed Heuer congratulated board members for their prior successes, and thanked all members for their commitment to the district’s student extended needs that can’t be funded through the traditional budgeting process.

“Over the years we have received countless ‘thank you’ messages from facility, support staff, and student groups solely because of your efforts,” said Heuer. “Since our Foundation’s inception in 1996, we have now awarded well over 100 grants, and nearing $240,000 in total value.  All this is possible through our annual financial campaign, our Blackhawk Scramble, and our Planned Giving initiative.”

Annual letters requesting support are in the mail, and parties with additional questions may contact either Ed Heuer, 715-887-3758, or Lisa Machotka, 715-887-2060.
