WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Heart of Wisconsin welcomed a new business to the chamber last week.

Fresh Canvas offers lay-counseling services, and as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, will do so regardless of financial situation. Started by Jeff and Jo Peters, the couple both graduates of Liberty University, hold Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and Christian Counseling.

Fresh Canvas has been going strong for over three years now, and show no signs of slowing down the services they provide to the public. They volunteer their time to help those in need, sometimes at no-cost.

“Jo and I are so humbled to be with the Chamber of Commerce,” said Peters. “The work at Fresh Canvas LLC is an amazing ministry in Central Wisconsin. Our clients pay nothing for their lay counseling. We are looking at being open for four years in March.”
