Dean Fleisner was promoted to Sergeant, while Mike Potocki was promoted to Lieutenant. The two were joined by their families, and as tradition in Police Chief Erman Blevins’ former department, family members pinned the new badge on the promoted officer.

Potocki has been with the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department since 1997, and had been promoted to sergeant in 2006. He has been a part of the Special Unit Response Team since 2005.

Fleisner has been with the department since 1999, and was promoted in 2008 as the department’s first K-9 handler. He is the current handler of Lex, and will now serve as new Lieutenant.
