WISCONSIN RAPIDS – A series of summer cookout classes will be offered through Mid-State Technical College’s continuing education. The classes will meet on Tuesdays, June 19 – August 28, from 6- 9 p.m. Locations will include the Opportunity Development Centers (ODC), Inc. Wisconsin Rapids kitchen; Mid-State’s Wisconsin Rapids campus; and a location to be determined in the Stevens Point area.

This series will teach correct cooking techniques, knife skills, and cooking preparations, and will allow participants to explore American and international cuisine. Classes vary each week but will include both chef demonstrations and hands-on practical skills for students. Participants will receive recipes to recreate meals at home.

The first class, Summer Fiesta, will take place in ODC’s kitchen. Other classes include Midwest Fry, Brunch on the Patio, Farm Fresh Vegetarian, and Seafood Night.

For more information or to register, visit www.mstc.edu/continuinged. You can also register in person at any Mid-State campus.
