WRCT to present summer youth production
For the Rapids City Times
WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Cordelia Hawkins and her children must do something to earn some money on hurricane-devastated Kokonut Island. The family decides to open Kokonut High, a private high school that guarantees a diploma to every student, in exchange for a hefty tuition fee.
Along with a handful of students, a crime syndicate shows up wanting to take over the island. As if that wasn’t enough, enter the ghost of Cap’n Kidd demanding everyone get off “his” island. And, that’s just the beginning.
The Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre (WRCT) summer youth show, “Kokonut High,” is completely produced by kids and young adults – from direction to props.
The show runs July 13-14 at 7 p.m. and July 15 at 2 p.m. in the WRCT auditorium at the Centralia Center.
