WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Wood County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of a Wisconsin Rapids man injured in a July 19 farm accident.

Police say 83-year-old Lester E. Katzner was injured when he was caught in a manure spreader in the township of Seneca.

Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies, Port Edwards Fire and First Responders, and Wood County Sheriff’s Rescue responded to the scene. First Responders were able to free the man from the spreader, and he was transported to a landing zone, where Life Link Ill was waiting, and flown to Marshfield Medical Center.
